Alumni Company Members & Jump Rhythm Instructors
Sarah Bownen was a company member from 2002 to 2007.
She graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. Sarah has led many master classes and has represented JRJP in choreographic residencies. Sarah is currently purusing a masters degree in education at Teahers' College in New York City. In 2007 Sarah received the Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Achievement for Individual Excellence On Camera/Performer for her work in the multiple-Emmy-Award-winning documentary Jump Rhythm Jazz Project: Getting There, produced by HMS Media for Public Television.
Kari Knudson Christopher was a company member from 1996 to 2005.
She earned her communication studies degree from Northwestern University where she began studying dance with Billy Siegenfeld in 1993, and was one of JRJP's original ensemble members. She has led numerous JRJP master classes and residencies. In January 2002 Kari performed her first JRJP duet show with Billy Siegenfeld at Duke University. Kari is currently living in the Chicagoland area with her husband Jim and three children Kellen, Livia and Cameron.
Kelly Malone Dudley was a company member from 1997 to 2005.
She holds a bachelor's degree in dance and biology from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Virginia, where she met and periodically studied with Billy Siegenfeld. She has led numerous master classes and residencies for JRJP, and was honored with the 2004 Dance Acheivement Award from the Chicago Dance and Music Alliance for excellence in her performances in multiple roles with Jump Rhythm Jazz Project. Kelly now lives in Virginia with her husband, two sons and daughter, where she teaches Jump Rhythm TechniqueTM at Randolph College (formerly Randolph-Macon Woman's College).
Huw Gilbert was a company member from 2000 to 2006.
He graduated from Northwestern University where he was a member of several bands, was a founding member of the percussion/dance group Boomshaka, and where he first studied Jump Rhythm. He has participated in JRJP choreographic residencies at Randolph Macon Woman's College, Lynchburg, VA and The Dance Inn, Lexington, MA and has taught Jump Rhythm Technique(TM) at studios and schools from coast to coast. Huw now lives in New York City with his wife Tindley and their daughtre Pryor.
Jodi M. Kurtze was a company member from 2002 to 2008.
Jodi is a graduate of Hope College where she earned her B.A. in Dance Performance, Choreography and Communications. She has performed, choreographed and toured nationally and internationally with Aerial Dance Theater, studied on scholarship at the Giordano Dance Center and worked with the Chicago Human Rhythm Project. Jodi has led master classes and teaching residencies for JRJP. Glenn Leslie was a company member from 1998 to 2008.
Glenn worked professionally in musical theatre for several years, and first met Billy Siegenfeld in the early '90s at Broadway Dance Center in NYC. Glenn has led many JRJP mater classes & residencies, and has served in JRJP's administrative office since 2004. He is currently teaching tap at Northwestern University and at Dance Center Evanston, while also developing original choroegraphy. In 2007 Glenn received the Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Achievement for Individual Excellence On Camera/Performer for his work in the multiple-Emmy-Award-winning documentary Jump Rhythm Jazz Project: Getting There, produced by HMS Media for Public Television.
Corey Yarnell Lozier was a company member from 2004 to 2007.
She graduated from Western Michigan University in April 2000, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance and a business minor. WMU introduced her to the work of Billy Siegenfeld. Corey has led numerous Jump Rhythm master classes and represented JRJP on teaching and choreographic residencies. Corey is currently living in the Chicagoland area with her husband Andy and teaching dance at local studios.
