COREY YARNELL LOZIER hails from Clinton Twp, MI, a suburb of Detroit.
She began tap dancing at age three, under the tutelage of Mary Lou Barnes, and she has been hooked on moving in rhythm ever since. She graduated from Western Michigan University in April 2000, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance and a business minor. While at WMU, Corey studied with Lindsey Thomas, Nina Nelson, and Wendy Cornish, who helped her gain a deeper knowledge of "the dance". WMU introduced her to the work of Billy Siegenfeld, through master classes and a residency -- after which she became devoted to the Jump Rhythm gig. Corey is a former member of the innovative tap company, Chicago Tap Theatre, under the direction of Mark Yonally. Corey is honored to be a member of JRJP, and is living her dream! She would like to give love and thanks to Andy, Mom, and Dad for always supporting her passion for dance.
