Kelly has been dancing with Jump Rhythm Jazz Project since the fall of 1997.
She holds a bachelor's degree in dance and biology from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Virginia, where she met and periodically studied with Billy Siegenfeld. She studied dance at the Nashville Ballet School and has attended the American Dance Festival, the Limón Institute of Dance and the Bates Dance Festival. After her service in the Student Conservation Association's New Hampshire Parks AmeriCorps, she returned to her hometown, Nashville, Tennessee to work with the modern dance company, Epiphany. Kelly has enjoyed teaching Jump Rhythm Technique throughout Chicagoland at The Old Town School of Folk Music, Dance Center of Evanston, National Louis University and Northwestern University. She has staged Jump Rhythm Jazz Project repertory at Randolph-Macon Woman's College and University of Wisconsin, Steven's Point and has assisted Billy Siegenfeld and other company members in choreographic residencies at Southern Methodist University, Iowa State University, and the Eisenhower Dance Ensemble in Michigan. Kelly was honored to receive the 2004 Dance Achievement Award from the Chicago Dance and Music Alliance for excellence in her performances in multiple dance roles with Jump Rhythm Jazz Project. She now lives in Virginia with her husband and two sons, where she teaches jazz dance at Randolph-Macon Woman's College and Virginia School for the Arts.
