FREDERICK WESSLER is the artistic advisor to JRJP.
The director of its seminal chamber-jazz musical, Romance in Swingtime, Rick continues to be the indispensable outside critic JRJP's choreographers turn to when creating new work. He has an extensive background in the theatre as an actor, director, and designer and has worked at the Studio Arena Theatre in Buffalo, Playwrights Horizons, and on Broadway. He was the lead performer, writer, and assistant director of The American Mime Theatre in New York City. He has directed for both stage and television, and most recently he shot and directed an independent film, Coming Soon to a Theatre Near You in addition to a humorous film short. He was the founding director of the Spuyten Duyvil Theatre Company in Manhattan. Prior to that, he had a one-man show of his digital artwork in Passau, Germany. He is currently JRJP's poster designer and works as a printmaker and graphic artist in New York City.
